Escape into our world

Some puzzles require teamwork to complete. Think outside the box, and prepare to lend each other a helping hand. Communication is key.

Each group is given unlimited hints if required. If you have been stuck on the same puzzle for a while, signal to us through a walkie that you need help and our gamemaster will gladly be able to assist. If your group manages to complete the puzzles with using two hints or less, your group will may be placed in the Hall of Fame or Monthly Hall of Fame if they have the best time.


How to Play Escape Games


Briefing
All partcipants are given 60 minutes to complete each game. Each team will be briefed on the backstory and safety rules from one of our gamemasters.

Teamwork
Some puzzles require more than one person to complete. Think outside the box, and prepare to lend each other a helping hand. Communication is key.

Hints
Each group is given unlimited hints. If you've been stuck on the same puzzle for a while, signal to us that you need help. However, if your group manages to complete the puzzles without using a hint, your group will be placed into our Hall of Fame.

Your life is ordinary, but your love for your wife made it extraordinary. You cherished simple moments together, deriving happiness from each other's company. Life seemed uncomplicated ... or was it?

You enter the deserted asylum, where rumors suggest that remnants of the seven patients still remain. The hospital has a dark secret, and you are determined to uncover the truth behind its closure.

You and your friends are watching cartoons at home when it finally happens, you guys get sucked into the television. You appear before a warden who immediately throws you in jail. You look around the cell and you find yourself inside a cartoon world. You need to escape, but have no clue on what to do. Perhaps your cellmate could lend you a hand.

Heroes Reborn

Legend says, when the Evil Forces awakens from the deepest of darkness, the legendary heroes will be reborn once again. Only by working together, venturing through the darkness, and defeating the powerful foes, will our heroes be able to restore peace to the world.

What is Liar's Game

Liar Games is our hosted live gameshow event held at Mayze or at an outside venue. It is a 3 hour experience where contestants play a series of games to compete for a prize at the end of the show.

Most of the games will be based on decisions the contestants make to build trust or deceive one another. There will be either none or very limited player elimination, to ensure full participation during your stay.

Virtual Reality Arcade

What is Virtual Reality?

Virtual reality is a three dimensional computer generated environment. Our arcade immerse our players in virtual reality through the use of audio, physical, and visual stimulation. Explore a new world by entering an online environment and interact with its intensive graphics. Join up with three other players to play challenging games, or simply appreciate the beauty and stories that virtual world graphics display.

Tales of Escape is a series of multiplayer, VR, escape room adventures. Cold as Ice is the first story, which puts you, and up to 3 friends in an abandoned butcher shop late in the last millennium.

FAQ

Q: What is MAYZE?
A: Mayze is a venue that provides fully mechanized escape games and virtual reality games. Each of the games are full of excitement, unique puzzles, and surprises.

Q: What should I expect when I enter?
A: Escape room:
Each game has a backstory along with unique sets of puzzles. Participants progress from one room to the next upon completing puzzles to reach their final goal.

Virtual Reality Arcade:
Each participant will be briefed on the safe use of our equipment and a quick intro to the games. Once the participant is comfortable, we will begin sending them off into a whole new world within virtual reality.

Q: Are there any requirements to play?
A: All participants must sign a waiver to play. Our games are catered to accommodate those over the age of 14. Participants who are 13 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult or with a parent/guardian's signature on the waiver form.

Q: Is it safe to play if I have a health condition?
A: For safety concerns, we highly discourage anyone who has a severe heart condition, epilipsy, claustrophobia, or difficulty standing or crawling to play.

Q: What is the appropriate attire?
A: Escape Room:
Casual, comfortable clothing, or gym clothing is highly recommended. You should be able to crawl and move freely.

Q: Can we just walk in?
A: We only accept walk-ins on Fridays, Saturday, Sundays and Public Holidays. Please make a reservation in advance before arriving.

Q: Where can I put my belongings?
A: Lockers will be provided to participants to safely store away any valuables such as wallets and phones.

Q: Can I play the game alone or with a partner?
A: Unfortunately, we offer full private games only for 3-8 players.

Q: Can the venue accommodate corporate events or parties?
A: Yes! We are available during the day to accomodate corporate events or parties. Please contact us at (416) 291-5552 or info@mayzegames.ca for event bookings.

Q: How long do the games last?
A: The games are 60 minutes long. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your game time to receive your briefing. Arriving late may take up your game time.

Q: Can I take photos or videos in the game rooms?
A: No photos or videos are allowed. Personal belongings are requested to be placed inside the lockers.
